About this event

Formed in 2022 in Louisville, Kentucky, U.S.A. by 7 music school nerds, DOOM GONG has made a name for themselves internationally with their own home-baked genre, Denim Psych - a hodgepodge of psychedelic rock, jazz fusion, prog rock, bedroom pop, lo-fi, contemporary classical music, as well as blood, sweat, and a lot of denim. Having amassed a catalogue of 3 rock opera-esque LP’s (DOOM GONG, Dream Behemoth and MEGAGONG) and 1 Live album (Live at the Whirling Tiger) in only 3 years, DOOM GONG has quickly become a mainstay of the psych scene in the U.S. and abroad, having performed their enigmatic and seamless live shows alongside the likes of Amyl and the Sniffers, The Black Angels, BADBADNOTGOOD, Allah Las, King Buffalo, Bass Drum of Death, Death Valley Girls, HOLY WAVE, among many others. The denim assemblage also performs at many national and regional festivals across the continent including Treefort Music Fest (US), Sled Island (CAN), Offbeat Music Fest (US), Purple City Music Festival (CAN), Big Stomp (US) Back Alley Ballyhoo (US), Swampfest (CAN), Expansion Psychedelic Festival (US), Moonshiners Ball (US), and Jorts Fest (US). With another 6 albums in the chamber, a European tour coming summer of 2026 and the rest of the world soon after; DOOM GONG isn’t done yet, not by a long shot. THE GONG RINGS ON The Duskwhales are a harmony-driven psychedelic darkwave trio based in Washington, DC. Formed in 2010, the band coalesces the decades-long artistic collaboration of Seth Flynn (guitar/vocals), Brian Majewski (keys/vocals), and Chris Baker (drums/vocals). With influences ranging from 60s psych rock to new wave, The Duskwhales’ signature sound is a powerhouse of pulsing synthesizers, lush vocal harmonies, and dramatic arrangements. They have performed to packed audiences across the East Coast and supported national acts including Car Seat Headrest, Frankie Cosmos, Killer Queen, and Jesse McCartney. Their latest album Strawflower Lane was released in 2024 and heralded by Atwood Magazine for its “dynamic energy, colorful lyricism, and catchy, charming melodicism.”
