SHOGUN ASSASSIN
Calendar
About this event
After his wife is murdered by agents of a paranoid shogun, former executioner Ogami Ittō takes to the road with his young son Daigoro, pushing him through feudal Japan in a baby cart fitted with an alarming arsenal of hidden weapons. Pursued by ninja assassins and three fearsome Masters of Death, father and son carve a path through ambushes, betrayals and spectacular fountains of blood.\ \ Created for American grindhouse audiences by re-editing and dubbing the first two Lone Wolf and Cub films, SHOGUN ASSASSIN transforms Kenji Misumi’s samurai epics into a lean, hallucinatory barrage of flashi
