Mesquite Elementary Presents: How To Train Your Dragon Jr.

About this event

Mesquite Elementary School held their first performance of Disney’s: Newsies Jr. four years ago. This year, Mesquite Elementary School will return to the Fox stage to present How To Train Your Dragon Jr.! Mesquite’s Drama program works hard all year for their performances at the Fox. Students that come through the drama program see the Fox from the audiences perspective, from a performer’s view, and culminate their learning by standing in the spotlight for their very own performance! Students in Mesquite’s Drama program are in 5th grade, their final year at Mesquite, and spend all year learning to speak, act, move and think like their characters. Step into a world where dragons rule the skies and a young Viking changes everything! How To Train Your Dragon Jr. brings the beloved Dreamworks story to life on stage with high-flying adventure, big heart, and unforgettable music. Join Hiccup, a misfit Viking who defies centuries of tradition when he turns an enemy into his best friend—the legendary Night Fury, Toothless. Together, this unlikely duo must prove to their village that heroes come in all shapes, sizes, and species. Packed with fiery enthusiasm, epic humor, and incredible talent, this fast-paced musical is an action-packed spectacle the whole family will love. Grab your tickets, cheer on our performers, and prepare to be swept away on an adventure that proves true strength comes from empathy, friendship, and believing in yourself!
