About this event
$25 advanced, $30 day of show General Admission (Standing) - Doors open at 7PM https://www.bailentheband.com/ BAILEN is a songwriting-forward, indie pop, folk-rock band that has captivated audiences with their musical dynamism and the three-part “blood harmony” of siblings Julia (guitar), Daniel (bass), and David (drums). The trio was raised by two freelance classical musicians in New York City who steeped them in Rock & Roll and Brahms. Their close familial bond is evident in their tight-knit musical arrangements and rich, emotive harmonies. The group has released two studio albums, Thrilled to Be Here (2019), produced by John Congelton, and Tired Hearts (2023), produced by Brad Cook. Both albums showcase their knack for crafting infectious melodies and introspective lyrics, earning them critical acclaim and a dedicated fan base. Their debut album was hailed by Rolling Stone as an “impressive debut”, in which they were compared to CSN, Fleetwood Mac, TLC, and Haim. Their catalog has over 50 million streams, and their song “I Was Wrong” reached the top 20 on Billboard’s Adult Alternative Chart. Additionally, NPR voted their song “Something Tells Me” #5 on the Best Songs of 2019. The band has made several TV appearances as featured artists, performing on the CBS Morning Show and The Today Show. They’ve also had the privilege of working with so many artists they admire, releasing collaborations with Amos Lee and Trousdale in 2024. In addition to their studio work, BAILEN is renowned for their engaging live performances, which feature a blend of heartfelt ballads and high-energy anthems. With a history of touring with the likes of Hozier, Amos Lee, The Lone Bellow, and many more, their stage presence and chemistry have made them a standout act at various music festivals and venues across the country. Currently, BAILEN is preparing to release their third full-length album, which they engineered and produced themselves with collaborators Jake Sinclair (Panic! At The Disco), Riccardo Damian (Sampha), and Chris Tabron (The Strokes). They are excited to release this record fully independent. Widely beloved by the mothers of her childhood friends, Rebecca McCartney is an indie pop/folk singer/songwriter born and raised in New York City. Known for her reflective, endearing lyrics, magnetic live performances, and buttery vocals, she has performed on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and toured across the US. She is fresh off the release of her third EP: an ode to being overwhelmed by the rich emotion and chaos of life in your 20s. She fuses influences across genres, inspired by Joni Mitchell's candid poetry, Norah Jones's smooth, melodic tone, and Olivia Dean's modern nostalgia, weaving together these eclectic perspectives to forge something at once fresh and retro, filled with soul and laughter. Alongside her own music, this past year saw her singing and arranging background vocals for artists like Sheryl Crow, Maggie Rogers, Elmiene, St. Vincent, and Madison Cunningham.
