About this event

Mike Lorenz, guitar Sandy Eldred, bass Matt Jernigan, drums Morgan Walbridge, vibraphone Chris Simonini, organ Mike Lorenz, guitarist/composer/educator, hails from Bethlehem, PA. For over a decade, Mike has kept a busy schedule as a freelancing performer and educator, leading his trio/quartet in performances up and down the Northeast Corridor at many festivals and club stages. Hailed as "an artist with a relentless and finely focused vision," Lorenz has released many recordings, including his most recent trio record, I'm Not There, released in June 2026. Most recently, he has been heard on releases by Chicago-based saxophonist Michael Hudson-Casanova's group, HeyMan, and releases by Philadelphia bassist Nicholas Krolak. As a composer, Mike has had several works for string quartet premiered by the Allentown Symphony Organization. In 2024, he completed an artist-in-residency program at the East40, a 40-acre nature learning center in Bethlehem, PA, where he composed a new work for solo guitar, informed and inspired by his time on the grounds. During the Summer of 2025, Mike participated in an artist residency at the Bischoff Inn in Tamaqua, PA. Some of the music composed during this residency will be featured in this performance. Jake Miller and Josh Klamka join forces to cultivate an intimate and captivating duo performance that transports you to their living room. Playing a mix of original music, improvised music, and songs from a wide spectrum of genres, Jake and Josh strive to leave a trail of personality through a free and open approach to the tunes.
