About this event

Maxim Vengerov joins Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla and the Philharmonic for Brahms’s Violin Concerto, a lyrical work that culminates in a boisterous Hungarian dance- flavored finale. Haydn’s Le Midi features numerous solo opportunities for strings and winds, while Thomas Adès’s The Exterminating Angel Symphony closes the program with dark obsessive intensity. Yuja Wang, previously scheduled to perform Brahms’s Piano Concerto No. 2, has withdrawn due to a scheduling conflict.
