Ward Hayden and The Outliers

About this event

Boston is one of America’s great music towns. But among the various styles the city is known for, country music wasn’t a truly thriving genre there, until singer, songwriter and guitarist Ward Hayden and his band The Outliers (formerly known as Girls Guns & Glory) sang and played their distinctive take on country and western with a rock’n roll kick, sending them to the top of the Boston scene and a thriving, critically-acclaimed, and highly-awarded career across America and in Europe. This year has had some major milestones for the band including their new album "Little by Little" becoming the bands first #1 charting album, spending thirteen weeks in the Top 10 and becoming #1 Alternative Country album in America this past April. The roots of the band are firmly planted on the South Shore in Scituate, MA where the band got its start, and where so many of the stories within the songs are based. While the band is currently based in Boston, Ward Hayden returned to his roots a few years ago and once again calls Scituate his home. Ward and the Outliers head overseas for a Scandinavia & Europe tour again this Fall. Keep an eye out for their upcoming new album "Forever Homesick" coming later this year.
