Farnsworth Concert Series: Moira Smiley

About this event

@ Photo Credit – Fiona Small Join us for the final concert of the 2026-2027 Farnsworth Concert Series with a very special performance by singer, composer, and song-collector Moira Smiley. You can feel the other singers, strings, percussion in Moira’s head as she performs her solo troubadour concerts with fierce folk song accompanied by her banjo, piano and accordion – and a looper or two. Moira is a live-wire performer that becomes the music she writes and performs. Tuneyards’ Merrill Garbus wrote, “I’m so thankful I’ve had the privilege of performing and recording with Moira. She embodies the endless creative potential of the voice, and… (has made) a deeply moving body of work.” Singer Composer Moira Smiley has toured the world and recorded with Indie-pop favorites, Tuneyards, performing with them on all the late-night TV shows, opening David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center in NYC with Chris Thile, Hilary Hahn and Brad Mehldau. Recent singing for Chris Thile‘s ‘Attention’ and Laurie
