Intro to Portraiture and Oil Painting with Justin Kinney

@ This class meets weekly on zoom for four Thursdays. This class is eligible for access rates. Have you ever wanted to paint a portrait, but thought painting faces was too difficult? Break down the learning process in this hands-on class from professional teaching artist Justin Kinney. In this oil-based portrait class, participants will learn the fundamentals of portraiture over four weeks, from drawing the human face and its features to learning the basics of oil painting. With personal guidance from Kinney, participants will develop their skills and bring it all together to create an oil-painted portrait on canvas. Complete your experience by visiting the museum to view Andrew Wyeth: Human Nature, an exhibition exploring Wyeth’s lifelong study of the human form. This course was designed specifically for individuals who have been wanting to learn more about creating portraits and/or where to begin with painting with oil paints.
