@ This class meets for 6 sessions from Monday, January 25 through Monday, March 8 with a one week break on February 15. In the event of inclement weather, this class will meet on Zoom. This class is eligible for access rates. Join Erica Qualey for a hands-on class and learn to paint the human figure in watercolor! Inspired by the Farnsworth Art Museum’s upcoming exhibition, Andrew Wyeth: Human Nature, this class will teach you how to draw and paint the human figure and incorporate them into your landscapes. Through step-by-step demonstrations, Erica will introduce techniques for simplifying the figure, creating gestural movement, and capturing body language.We’ll explore how figures can bring a landscape to life, study the ways Andrew Wyeth incorporated people into his work, and explore different watercolor techniques and skills to help build confidence rendering figures through a series of demonstrations.
