Jordan TW Trio Celtic Christmas

About this event

Putting a fresh spin on traditional Celtic music, the NH-based Jordan TW Trio delivers a dynamic show full of lively fiddle tunes, haunting airs and their own spin on yuletide classics. Held in the Orchard Chapel, Hampton Falls (immediately next to Applecrest Orchards), this quintessential New England holiday setting (complete with oil lanterns, candles, and old wooden pews with plush velvet cushions) provides the perfect home for our 12 Nights of Christmas series that promises to fill you with the festive spirit and happiness! For over a decade, fiddler/singer Jordan Tirrell-Wysocki, guitarist Matthew Jensen and bassist Chris Noyes have blended the music of Ireland and Scotland with their own original material, drawing on multiple genres to produce a unique sound that has been described as “larger-than-life” and “brisk, lean and exceedingly lovely.” In 2013 Jordan was awarded the title of “Master Artist” by the NH State Council On The Arts, and later named “Best Fiddler 2016” by NH Magazine. He composed the New England Emmy®-nominated theme music for WMUR’s New Hampshire Chronicle, and the Trio formed the core band that recorded it. They have appeared live on NHPR’s “The Folk Show,” provided music for projects ranging from Ted Talks to children’s programs, and their albums can be heard on radio stations around the British Isles as well as back home in New England. "One of the most popular and most appreciated Celtic bands here in New Hampshire.” -Kate McNally, NHPR “Replete with gorgeous instrumental sets that transported the audience through evocative airs into bouncy jigs and driving reels.” - Celtic Beat "One can feel the strength and resolve of the people who have nurtured this music over the centuries…The fiddle practically cries with emotion throughout its melodic journey while true old world charm fills up the backdrop.” - Bill Copeland Music News LIVE MUSIC POETRY & FICTION WORKSHOPS WILDLIFE WELLNESS COMEDY FOOD THEATRE VISIT STAY SHOP ABOUT FAQs SUPPORT BRIGHT & LYON PRIVATE EVENTS © THE WORD BARN TERMS & CONDITIONS PRIVACY POLICY WEBSITE BY MAINE FOX MARKETING
