About this event
The cats who have lived and worked at the Mount Washington Observatory are pretty much celebrities, but did you know there are books about them, too? Join us at Pope Memorial Library for a story telling and coloring activity with author Eric Pinder and illustrator T.B.R. Walsh, who co-created the books "Cat in the Clouds" and "Nimbus Takes a Hike"! In "Cat in the Clouds," stray cat Nin drifts from house to house until he meets a meteorologist named Mark. Then Nin begins his greatest journey yet—to the top of Mount Washington. In "Nimbus Takes a Hike," Nimbus T. Cat lives with the scientists who work and study at Mount Washington’s famous Observatory. But what’s a curious cat to do when everyone around him is busy? Go for a hike of course! This should be a fun event for all ages! Books will be available for purchase, and both author and illustrator will be happy to sign them for you.
